Why Our Chocolate Tastes Different
We tasted widely and chose chocolate made through the Cacao-Trace program—selected for flavor and produced with farmer training and careful post-harvest fermentation. We pay more for it because it delivers a cleaner melt, a brighter cocoa profile, and it returns a portion of sales to cocoa-growing communities. From there, we temper and finish in-house, using small-batch methods for gloss, snap, and balance.

HOT WEATHER SHIPPING: Due to the limited life of ice packs and to ensure product quality, all chocolate, taffy and ivory-coated products ordered between May 1 and October 1 (or when we feel there is a weather issue with your order's destination) must arrive at their destination within two days. (Chocolates begin to melt at 80 degrees.) If we feel your order will not arrive in good condition via ground service, you will be contacted before your order ships to discuss your options and costs. Please remember that all jelly candy products, without chocolate, are NOT heat sensitive and can ship via standard service anytime, anywhere. Please call us if you have any questions. Note also that no heat sensitive products are shipped on Fridays.
