These candies are the 5 ingredient wonders that made us famous. Made simply with fruit (or wine or beer), cane sugar, fruit pectin, tartaric acid (from grapes) and a shot of plain old fashioned corn syrup, each deceptively simple batch actually takes weeks from start to finish due to our secret reduction process which intensifies the flavor and firms the texture. All are cut and lovingly sugared by hand. (The cranberry variety is also available with walnuts.)
For a slight upcharge, detailed in the drop-down menu below, our Vineyard Sweets wine candies are now available in bulk as well as Obsidian Stout and Inversion IPA varieties, made with beers from Oregon's Deschutes Brewery, and Hard Apple Cider flavor, made with Angry Orchard Hard Cider. In exciting natural flavors, all our creams are handmade, cut, and dipped to perfection. Flavors include our new “vanilla bean” creams made with real Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean paste as well as coconut, chocolate and cranberry. Bulk flavors are offered in either milk or dark. Pure chocolate and heavy cream are the basic ingredients in our smooth truffle centers. To this ganache we add pureed fruits and nutmeats, fine liqueurs and natural flavors. The centers are then hand-dipped in yet more pure chocolate. Truffles make a great gift or an exquisitely romantic bedtime snack. Amaretto - Italy's aromatic liqueur consorts with freshly roasted almonds.
Cheesecake - Dark chocolate, cream cheese, a hint of brandy. Topped with chopped almonds.

No one remembers when we first made our shortbread dipped in milk chocolate, but I know I was sneaking them out of the candy case as early as the 1970's, and they are still one of my favorites. The shortbread is made with only butter, flour and cane sugar. We press the dough into a mold, chill, and then cut by hand into slices which are baked to a golden brown. Then, these crunchy delights are dunked in gloriously rich real milk chocolate. Delicious simplicity that quite literally melts in your mouth.
